One of the few things which truly scare me is the—for some reason very new to me—notion that it takes so many things to go right for you to succeed. The compounding effect of good decisions can not be ignored. You need to not only make good decisions, but you need to keep making them as you go along, and that pretty much gets you in the door to have a shot at success. Life is brutal.
