The lawsuit centered on a chemical called acrylamide, which has been listed as a cancer-causing substance in California since 1990. Acrylamide is used industrially for sewage treatment.
So apparently this acrylamide thing is naturally produced in potatoes, but only when heat treated with high temperatures (frying). Fuck that is what I tell you. I’m making my own shit from now on.
